2 Player Pool Online — Play Pool With Your Friends
CueVerse is a free 2 player pool game you play online, in your browser. Make a table, invite a friend, and play 8-ball, 9-ball or 10-ball together, wherever each of you is. There's nothing to download, and you can talk while you play.
How to play pool with a friend
- Both open CueVerse at cueverse.gg/play, pick a name (a guest name is fine) and go into the same room.
- One of you creates a table. Press Create Table and pick the game: 8-ball, 9-ball, 10-ball or a house mode. Leave it unrated for a friendly game, or make it rated to play for your rating.
- Make it yours. At the table, set Table Type to Private so nobody else can sit down.
- Press Invite and pick your friend from the list.
- Your friend accepts and sits down. Press Start Game and break.
Who can see your table
- Public — anyone in the lobby can sit down or watch.
- Protected — anyone can watch, but only people you invite can sit.
- Private — only the people you invite can come in.
Talk while you play
Every table has a chat beside the felt, and voice chat if you'd rather talk. With free accounts you can add each other as friends and send messages, which arrive even when the other person is offline — handy for setting up the next game.
More than two players
- 2 vs 2 teams — four players, partners take turns. Works at 8-ball and 9-ball.
- 3-player cutthroat — three groups of five balls, last player with a ball left wins. See the cutthroat rules.
- Watchers — friends who aren't playing can watch a public or protected table and chat from the rail.
No friend online right now?
Press Play Now to be seated against the next person looking for a game, or add a robot opponent at Easy, Medium or Hard. Every game is saved, so you can watch your best racks again later in the replay viewer.
Games you can play together
8-ball (solids and stripes), 9-ball (lowest ball first), 10-ball (call every shot), and 8-ball house rules: Call Every Pocket, Single / Double / Triple Bank 8, Last Pocket and 4 Pockets. Not sure which to pick? Read 8-ball vs 9-ball.
Questions
Is it free?
Yes. No ads, no coins and nothing to buy. It runs in the browser, so neither of you has to download anything.
Can two players share one device?
No — each player plays on their own device. They don't have to match: PC against phone works.
Does my friend need an account?
No, a guest name is enough. A free account keeps your rating and history and lets you add each other as friends.
Can other people watch our game?
On a public or protected table, yes. Set the table to Private if you want it to yourselves.
Can I play 2 player pool against the computer?
Yes. Add a robot opponent at Easy, Medium or Hard, or practise alone on a training table.
