Open Challenges in the lobby and browse what's popular this week. Every card shows the board, the goal and how many players have solved it, with a tag on the ones you've solved or are still working on. A challenge's level comes from the players: the more tries a solve takes, the harder it is (under 15 tries per solve is Easy, over 50 is Hard). Pick a level (Easy, Medium, Hard or New) or hide the ones you've solved, and the Solved tab keeps count of how many you've done.
Press Play to get your own table with the board set up. Every try you take a shot in counts, so there's no practice: touch a ball you weren't meant to and it blinks red, and the try is over. Try again sets the board up exactly as it was, or Leave takes you back to the challenge. Solve it to see your try, your time and your place among the solvers (the fewest tries first, then the least total time). Solve a public challenge and the lobby hears about it. Once you've solved one, you can watch how everyone else did it. Every solve earns points (1 for easy, 2 for medium, 3 for hard), Leaders ranks solvers and makers this week and all time, and any name opens that player's page.
Making your own unlocks after 2,500 games against people: set up a training table, pick a goal, add rules like Bank it, Kick it first or Don't touch other balls, solve it once to publish it, and share the link.
Step by step
What challenges are
Challenges are pool puzzles made by players. Each one is a board, a goal, and a few shots to reach it. In the lobby, click Challenges. It's just under Replays. The first time, a short guide shows how to play, and how to make your own.
Finding challenges
Popular shows what people are playing this week. Every card shows the board, the goal, and how many players have solved it. A tag marks the ones you've solved, and the ones you're still working on. Its level comes from the players. The more tries a solve takes, the harder it is. Under fifteen tries per solve is Easy, and over fifty is Hard. Pick a level to see just those. Or switch on Hide solved. The other tabs show the newest, your friends' challenges, your own, and the ones you've solved, with a count of how many.
Playing a challenge
Open one to read its goal and rules. Here: pot the 4 ball in the marked pocket, in one shot, and don't touch the other balls. Solvers rank by the fewest tries, then the least total time. Or sort them by the fastest try, or by who was first. Click Play. You get your own table, with the board set up, and a card showing the goal. Every try you take a shot in counts. There's no practice. Touch another ball, and it blinks red. That try's over. Leave takes you back to the challenge. Try again sets the board up just as it was. Solve it, and you'll see which try it took, your time, and your place among the solvers.
Solvers, watching and Leaders
Solve a public challenge, and the whole lobby hears about it. Once you've solved one, you can watch how everyone else did it. Like this two-rail bank. Every challenge you solve earns points: one for easy, two for medium, three for hard. Leaders ranks solvers and makers, this week and all time. Click a name to see what that player has solved, made, and is still trying.
Making your own
Making your own unlocks after 2,500 games against people. Create shows how close you are. To make one, click Create, and pick a table. Then drag the balls where you want them. Click Challenge, and take off the balls you don't need. Then pick a goal: pot a ball, a combo, a run in order, or stopping the cue ball in a circle. Add rules if you like: bank it off the cushions, kick the cue ball first, or don't touch the other balls. Then give it a name. Now solve it once yourself. That publishes it, and keeps your solve as proof.
